I have video somewhere of me riding my bike bone stock, where you can visually see from the bike behind how my swingarm twists in the corners... And i proceeded to snap my front fender in half bottoming out the forks... And, no I'm, not MotoGP material...

If you like me are 220 lbs, the stock fork is completely inadequate... It twists and flexes visibly... Same for the swing... It's simply a matter of physics... With a brace on the fork, and the correct springs and valving, it's OK... But not close to what an USD fork is...

I'm also in the club of the swingarm brace is very noticeable and makes a marked improvement in chassis stability. Maybe even more for me as I'm still trying to get down to 220lbs.....lol

For me it was one of those things of I didn't realize how much the swingarm was flexing until I put the brace on and stopped it..... so depending on your riding style and how hard you push they can be a very good thing.

I'm only about 150-160 Ib, but I keep thinking I'm getting a bit fat or is that beer gut so need loose some weight If I stopped smoking I would double in size.

what yokes and front forks are going back onto Kermit, or do you have a USD plan building for 1 bike?

Yep I have in mind a usd blade front end with radial brakes for one of them .

but which bike? fashion on the road bike or function on the race bike

It's getting harder as I keep getting nice parts that are meant for the track but would look great on the road bike .
I think it will boil down to how bad I get the track addiction as to what bike gets the good stuff

Put it all on the track bike and if you like the results and can afford it duplicate the good parts for Kermit

I think that is what's going to happen except I the road bike will stay as standard apart from the paint :-)

Yep standard 92 blade clip ons (for mooch up as they are low)
I don't know about the fairing but I still have a little giggling to do to get them to miss the clocks !!
I will need to get A firing on it to test but I ain't using Kermit's !

I have made my mind up miss piggy is getting all the toys :-) bolted on so should be a good one when finished .

Other than the motor being built/tuned all I need now is

Front end - from 04 and onwards blade .
Fairing - lhs and centre
Xl1000 sprocket cover for Cable clutch .
And link pipes again
And a few other little bits ,

Tho the work list is huge and should take a year or more as it ain't cheap
I will get kermit back on the road next year to serve as a testing platform for the race parts so it should save some time and money doing it that way instead of booking a track day and it not running/riding right .
