That's why I went for the dual compound as they are sold as longer lasting, but easy enough to replace .

The other option is the Kevlar loaded ones they do

Dropped the front forks and repacked the head bearings,a job i was going to do last year. Next on the list is to strengthen the Rentek rack with some additional brackets as it shakes about with a load on.

Pulled cover off, no volts at all on the indicator, plugged in charger and went back indoors to strip an SP1 motor and get the bits on Eblag.

Maybe next weekend.....

Might be time to put an isolator on one of the battery terminals- something's drawing a tiny bit of current somewhere, and there's no alarm fitted, so it's not that.....

Late on here tonight but that's a very nice installation there AMCQ. Very tidy, much better than the majority of after market efforts.

Don't encourage him, he's already gone for dual compound grips, next he'll be getting a set of wet compound ones for rainy trackdays.

Test fitted the steering damper prior to sending it off for a service

A word of warning if you have fitted wider forks and fit a side mounted damper you will have to cut the infill fairing on the of side as the damper will fowl on it

Sorry I hadn't read this thread for a while! I got one of these http://www.motorcyclepowersockets.com/

There are cheaper ones, but it is quite well put together, apart from the dust cap coming off..

Got it all bolted back together last night after fitting the stick coils, heated grips (and eastern beaver relay supply for the grips), SP1 quick action throttle tube and the billet inlet trumpets, but was to late to start it up, so did that today.

:D Good news is it starts so the coil wiring is good, and the grips are great....no more freezing fingers on the 1st ride out in spring.

With the trumpets fitted I think there will need to be some jetting checks, as it was more lumpy at idle and bogged a little if you blipped the throttle (fast)..... but as it is cold, roads are salty and then it started raining, there was no way I was going to go for a little spin to test. Will plan a dyno early in the spring to get it running just so.

Any recommendations for a midlands dyno man? Lloydie, who have you used? Last one I used was Allgears but that was 23yrs ago on my MZ racer :?

Just got to fit the R6 brembo rear master cyl and start looking at the swing arm brace now.

Got mine salty.
I'll hose it down in the spring.

Anything that goes rusty will just have to be replaced with go-faster carbon or titanium racing bits, I suppose.
Bummer!
