Got all the crud off the pistons, hopefully that should stop them binding. Just need to put it back together properly............

Did you take the seals out and clean them?

Hi Matty, I ordered some new seals. They were expensive but I might have damaged the old ones getting them out. Messing about with the brakes is a bit nerve wrecking!!

Cool, I only asked because you made no mention, I thought you might have popped the pistons out to clean and left the seals in place.

I started some preliminary unbolting, took off the seat unit, tank and fairing in preparation for fitting a replacement loom, I also soldered a rear light plug on the new loom which was the only bit missing.

Just waiting for my reg/rec to turn up from the states then I'll do the whole job in one go.

Think I've bent my sidestand !!

Pulled up at Barts Hospital today, and as I pulled the key out I didnt have hold of it properly and it slipped between the tank & frame rail, dissapeared down under the airbox !!!!!!

Needless to say I had the bugger in all sorts of odd angles trying to shake the key into falling through onto the ground. Got it in the end, but what a fcukin' palava !!
