Argh the good old scissor jack....no garage should be without one.

Don't know if you have read it but don't torque the tapered bearings up the same as standard.

last time I jacked it up I used the trolley jack then promptly tripped over the handle and nearly knocked it all over, so the scissor jack is the best option, I'm even thinking of welding on a little saddle affair to fit the shape of the sump to give it more stability.

Yes I know about the different tightening procedure for the taper bearings

Drooper pass MOT...woohoo!

Slight headlight adjustment carried out on sight & all was good...He missed the fact the throttle cable was routed wrong & catching when on right lock...

Yesterday giving it a final go over I ran in to a few probs. Fitted the faring & had clearance issues with the flat bars... :(

Played around with angles of dangles to no avail. Adapted some riser inserts to make 1'' risers rather than the 2'' ones I had on...Still no good.

So fairing back off, controls, bars & top yoke...Rebuilt with standard yoke & bars, fairing back on jobs a good un.

So off to the MOT this morn & I can tell you the F2 bars make such a difference to the older ones ! Much more uncomfortable on the wonkey wrist & me elbow.

As in the F2's are more comfortable? I will say I've never really had an issue with my later bars, apart from the first week or two because it was an entirely new riding position

Indeed the F2's are much better... Nue Red MOT on Tuesday, no comfort issues at all. Drooper today older style bars, same journey much more discomfort...mind you I did exercise it this more quite vigorously so maybe it was a bit achy anyway...

Thought that's what you meant, was just clarifying for my stupid young brain

(Don't tell Lloyd but the later model bars are so much more comfortable than the flat-bar thingies :p )

I kinda like the pain from the early model bars.. makes me feel like I'm riding an exotic sports bike

I struggle with my lanky plug legs being so bent up on long trips, but I've added more foam to the seat which has straitened my legs out and increased the lovely wrist pain haha

I'm a strange lad.
