what have you done to your "bike" today

Post by lloydie »

Today ive been messing with the exhausts
With the brackets that came with them they didn't support the cans very good and when the engine was running the cans would wobble with the vibrations
Before pic

I started by removing the tail plastics . And drilled one hole either side on the rear sub frame this is where the can straps bolt to

They're at better angels now and no movement a propper job lol

Finished building the six-spoke wheels with Braking discs, new bearings all round.
They're off to be dynamically balanced tomorrow, then fitted Saturday morning.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Hmmm Harris quality!

Out of interest I weighed both sets of pipes complete with all fittings nuts & bolts Harris weighed in at 3kg the standard pipes 9kg! 8O

Finally fitted sounds sweet, don't think my neighbours think the same mind!

Tis done Marty, just giving it a couple of weeks to harden right off before a polish & fitting. Also got an undertray, mindicators & tail tidy to fit + a spare pair of forks to revamp & fit. Oh when will it end?

Did try to get a vid via me telephonic device but it didn't want to load on to me pc for some reason.

I did however phone Tony Mons up so he could here them.

It went to answer phone.

So I left him a 4000rpm mesage.

And today i went out for competition on this one, very icy in the bomb holes and ground as slick as an ice rink in places. But good fun

B@stard!
I thought it was someone who's bike I've repaired wanting their money back!

Couldn't hear your name on the (admittedly cheap) answerphone.

Told you they'd polish up nicely, would have done it myself and charged you more but my jetwasher doesn't make things shiny enough, apparently you have to use "polish" whatever that is.
