I could be up for a ride tomorrow too, are you heading to covent garden still?

I went for an awesome blast today with some new biker buddies, the adrenaline has been non-stop!

Ok, I also got bored when I got home...

So, after a long winter and eager to see how my newly modded airbox lid would work, I decided today was the day to fire the old girl up.....

well, a great f****in' day it was!!!!! So, I put gas in the tank and open up the petcock... surprise, gas is pissing out under the bike!!!! So, pull carbs, check the float bowl screws, could use a bit of tightening, do so and re-install. Re-open petcock... still gas pouring out &^#$@!! Pull carbs out, put new jetting set-up in old carbs and re-install everything (found the source of the leak: spent fuel bowl gaskets). Go to start and..... battery is dead! &^$#@(*^%%

So, gave it a boost to start it, runs good, has wicked throttle response but there is no way I am heading out anywhere with a battery that is screwed. So, a ride will have to wait for a new battery....... Talk about an anticlimactic day.......

Gone from chicken strips that yell "NEW TYRES" to ones I'm rather proud of (even though they're probably 10000000x the size of most of yours ), within those 2 hours. Plus I haven't been able to ride like that since the Hornet was my daily commute :D Feels good.

I'm a Michelin convert now
It helps having Alex play with your suspension too :-)

I said I would and I don't intend to go back on my word. Plus I wouldn't have actually noticed it otherwise!!

I'll still use you and abuse you for other things. Maybe I'll get a TDM850 and abuse you on that around corners

Lloydie, would changing the fork oil & setting air gaps be something we could do to my bike on the ws day? I have new bushes & seals too.

And you'll be able to see the sexy gold valves as per Rogers race tune ;)
