If you've got a way of lifting the bike up like my little stool then yes .
You will need a seal driver to locate the seals .
But as I've never worked on storm forks one of the more experienced guys would be better to advise on it .

You can get new seals in using the old seal against the new one and using a hammer and drift to tap it in. I can bring my Fork oil syringe if needed. Jamie do you know the required air gap with your set up with those valves? And are you intending on using the same weight oil as this will have an affect on the air gap I think. The initial setting for the install of the rebound/preload unit may be different too with those valves.

It may be a good idea to double check with Roger first, as with the Gold valves they may require a slightly different set up from the basic Revolution fork tune.

Anyway...why do you want to change the oil and air gap. You not so long had them done by Roger so they should be good to go. Or did the bushes not get changed then :confused

Argh I see, makes sense now then. I still think is a good idea to speak to Roger first on the set up for reasons explained above.

I could be up for a ride tomorrow too, are you heading to covent garden still?

I went for an awesome blast today with some new biker buddies, the adrenaline has been non-stop!

Ok, I also got bored when I got home...

Carl & Lloydie, thanks for the replies.

The main reasons for stripping them is to replace the bushes as I can feel a slight "knocking" or "play" under light braking through the bars. I'm pretty sure the head bearings are seated and tight.

Also I'd like the forks set up exactly how Roger recommends, I don't know if the air gap or oil is as per recommendation so it's a double checking type thing.

That would be great if you could bring your air gap measuring device  I have never taken forks apart before hence my severe anxiety at the thought of mucking it up!

I have got a ceiling hoist, abba stand, axle stands, trolley jack, funny gay little wooden stool!

Ok, I'll see if I can get in touch with the man himself, although I do feel a bit cheeky as I could just send to him to service, which I'd love to do! But funds are basically nill now and the bike is fractions from complete.

BTT, thanks mate I might come and see what's happening if I get some jobs done 1st, bloomin' housework eh!

yep Covent garden for 1pm
Gonna do my best to be there. Lets see how I get on with things this morning.

Jamie if you have not spoken to Roger then you should. He's a real nice guy...a gentleman and would be only too happy to help.

Talk about putting a downer on a lovely day, I rode over to carls this morning, carbs off and 48 pilots fitted, tps was 511ohm, balancing was pretty good as well, end result the bikes running nicely....
we then rode to covent garden to meet up with paul(bigtwinthing) a truly nice guy, drank coffee and talked nonsense as you do...
when we got back to the bikes I find a £40 parking ticket, here's how the bike was parked.... Image
robbing barstewards, I will appeal but I ain't holding my breath. and they wonder why we hate them so much.
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!

I thought the bay was free to park on as it's a bank holiday weekend, but oh no, Saturday is classed as a normal day and because I didn't pay the £1 I know have to pay a £40 fine, it means paul and carl were very lucky not to get a ticket as well, come on chaps, do the right thing and share the cost of the ticket with me....
