had a visit from my fav spanner monkey, we fitted a hrc throttle tube, jesus theres so little of a turn from stop to full throttle... :eek2
also fitted some renthal Kevlar grips, they already look dirty... :(
then I managed to destroy £30 worth of titax preload adjusters when I got the hump and took a hammer to them, that made carl laugh...
but mostly we spent the day making a new top secret modification to the bike, all will be revealed towards the end of the week or at the w/s day....

Spent the day in the MacCave in a whirl of spanners & a splurch of a syringe. Took the Hel lines off Drooper & refitted the original lines F & R brakes & clutch all fitted & bled.

Whipped off the silly mudguard thing, which was put back on as it no longer has a hugger but was rubbing on the tyre where it had become misshapen. Bit of heat from a heat gun, clamped it up in the vice left it to cool down, refitted bout an hour later...doesn't rub any more...

Did a few other bits & pieces called it a day a successful one at that.

Good work people, all been busy on the bikes today then.
Road tested the new Arrow cans today, and feels like they have boosted the bottom to mid range power
Are the cans longer in length than you old ones Al?

No if anything they might be slightly shorter. Main change is the link pipes don't taper, so they smaller diameter

Took the tyres off the 6spokes and dropped them off with Blast & Media in Coventry.

Good recommendation lloydie, he looks like a good bloke for bikes bits and cares about what he does

So much for packing my tools away !!

While on a ride yesterday to fish hill ck's forks sprung a leak!
So he left the bike at mine and I dropped him home .
So today while I'm waiting for tools (thanks Kev l) and parts I started stripping it down after I tidied you the garage to make room for 4 bikes .

On one fork the lower Allen bolt is just turning and not coming undone so tomorrow I'll take it to Alex to get the impact gun on it and hopefully it will come out so I can get the other cartridge out the fork and crack on rebuilding them .
And while taking the forks off it I noticed the head stock bearing are very notchy !

So I have that to do too when the parts arrive .
And then I checked the front wheel bearings and they are shot too :-( !
So it looks like I've got my hands full getting ck's bike ready for the weekend runs .
