Looks good with that wall as a backdrop. You juts need to remove the clutter in front of the wall. :biggrin

How are the Stomp grips looking. The bottoms of it in the pic looks like you got either bubbles or dirty finger marks on the sticky bit.

Lets hope it's dry on Friday to finish the secret mod.

Looking forward to seeing it at the wsd :-).

Today while waiting for post man to deliver kevs tools I gave kermit a wash, polish, wax, buff.
And removed the exhaust and sealed it back up as it had a little leak .

Then carried on with ck's bike ,
Removed the old head stock bearings ,
Took the lhs fork to the my spanner man Alex to get the lower Allen bolt out but after much Fing and stuff came to a stop as this is turning in the damper Image as the last person to do it up must of over tightened it and now the bolt and that are just spinning and won't come out .
Looks like the bolt will need drilling out and a new damper to replace it .

Renthal grip glue? Use hairspray mate - I did on my Renthals and they're fine.

universal stompgrips watty......http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290757572391? ... 1497.l2649
you have to cut them to fit, a bit nerve racking but mine turned out ok enough, once I decided on the shape, I cut one side and then used that as a template to cut the otherside.
I was uming and arghing whether to use them, but after a short ride on Jamie's bike(which has stompgrips) I knew it was time to get some...

mav, I've heard that will work, but the glues only a fiver, so I thought i'd use it...

You can wedge the damper against the inner fork tube so it don't move but the bolt and other bit move together
This is the other damper that was easy to remove as they should Image

Note: The bolt threads through into the lower valve so if you have difficulty with removing and/or the inner cartridge spinning then either apply some upward pressure on the fork stanchion or downward pressure on the fork lower which in effect is pulling up on the stanchion, while undoing the hex bolt. Some assistance may be required.

Mav Hairspray is OK as a quick fix but over time as water gets in it washes away and looses it's grip and your grip will start spinning.
