i went over a hump backed bridge once and there was wet grass all over the road, i didn't brake but the front slid sideways about 3 inches then found grip, i wobbled until i got off just down the road, shook like feck and had to sit down as my legs were shaking, basically shat myself.

don't mind the back wiggling a bit but not the front. Fitted the belly pan as the last coat was dry, had to mod the back as it hits the bloody exhaust pipe, happy though.

its raining like buggery and i can't get the bike out as 5 cars on the drive, sorry, it looks good and apart from the trimmed bit iam very chuffed.

I spent ages sorting it out but didn't try it and the bloody exhaust hit it in the LHS so its out with the dremel and its now fine.

LHS that's rare, it normally the right that touches. I hope you had your incontinence pants on at the time when hitting the hump  And I don't blame you for not taking the bike out in the rain otherwise you would have yo wash it again before putting it bed.

I changed the oil and filter today, in between the drizzle and rain showers, i'm trying Castrol 15043F Power 1 4T 10W40 Part Synthetic, and genuine oil filter, i used all of the 4 litres to get the oil between the two marks after warming it up, too wet to go for a ride :x, does that sound like the correct amount of oil?

Scouse yes that is about right mate. IIRC it's about 4.2L to fill up to the top line if including a new oil filter. I wish bike oil was sold in 5L like car oil. It's a bloody con.

Thanks, i agree about the 4L not 5L in bike oil, trouble is this oil has a reddish tinge to it, so not sure i can use any 10w 40 semi oil to top it up :? should i get a 1ltr castrol oil to top up? saying that it doesn't seem to use much oil.

I try not to mix oils but having oil is better than none. If you used Castrol then best to get yourself another litre as it may need a little top up. Red oil :confused it's not automatic transmission fluid is it

As long as your in between the low and high levels in the glass then your OK, but these bike can burn some oil so best to have a bit in stock.

Same stuff ck uses .
Easier to buy 2x 4L and that way you have enough for top ups .
