Had a spanking ride with ck through Leicester finest countryside fecking love my storm .
Took ck down the A664 towards market harbrough and got huge air off the two hump back bridges kermit handled them very well :-) .

Thought you would of polished them while you were at it Carl .
There's polished and there is polished. Compared to the inlets these are polished
It hard work and the amount of dremel bit's Iv'e gone through. Maybe I will get a little wet n dry in there and give the ports a fingering.

Yep I would then some small polishing bits as you want it mirror finished I would of thought or the carbon will build up quick and spoil it in no time

Was a very good ride

luckily between the 2 of us we know some good roads

the bridges were great, don't think iv had a bike in the air that many times in close sussesion

love the way my bike handles. The tyres say it all. Ever getting closer to the edges

can't wait to swap the engine, only done 110miles and she has used 300ish ml of oil

but I can now say that it is now known as she! Deffently made a good impression today becides smelling
I think that's close enough on the rear for me. Want to leave that last little bit. If you look close enough you can see iv touched the very edge a few times

the front needs a bit of work but it's getting there

Sobered up enough in the afternoon to spank mine in the cuntry side
Just helped a fellow biker get his Blade front end back on, then he let me spank his too

This is a bit of a trial run as the heads on the bike will be coming off and I shall work on them ones, but I'm going the full hog with them including the inlets. I'd like to remove and replace the guides and seats as well but that is something I have not got the tools or knowledge for so a bit of research first. I would also like some flat faced valves. Just ideas at the moment, we'll see. Maybe I will outsource the work but I prefer to do it myself as a learning curve and take pleasure from it.

Fitted APE CCT on Mine, what a palarva
You think honda have some sh1t bolts, you should see what the made the cam cover bolts out of, that took me at least two hours of gentle work keeping as much pressure on the head as possible in the smallest of places to get them to come out when turned so they didn't chew up, the bottom left and right was a wombles nightmare they must have some special tools for these locations at dealers
other than that went well, whole top of engine covered in sh1t so spent about an hour cleaning the cam cover, pair system, in the house.
also the throttle boddies was minging, its only done 18.5 k and most of the 10.5 k ive put on it has been on V Power fuel, the butterfly's was covered in that sh1t you get when you leave petrol for ages and it evaporates away and goes like a sh1t brown stain
im guessing this is from when the bike was not used by the old boy that had it before me, i think he had done less than 200 miles in a year or two on it, be interesting see what it feels like now with all that cleaned away
gona put it back together at somepoint today after ive had a sleep, just hope there is enough / not to much tension on the chain, guide i found was a bit sh1t and the people on GSXR facebook page could not give me and answer as to how much tension the chain should have and at what point in the cycle is the best to take measurement of slack etc
i think some people just comment for the sake of it as one guy said he changed his without even removing the cam cover...
if you don't remove the cam cover there is a 50 / 50 chance of taking it out at the wrong point and the chain slipping / jumping teeth as for every two revolutions on the crank the sprockets make one full revolution if that makes sense
these are the cheese bolts i was taking about you can see on the cover, you cant even make out the recess on them they are so full of sh1t had to spend ages cleaning them out and up before i could even attempt to get them out

+ 1 on everything Lloyd said there, including no room to work on IL4's.
As for the chain tension Seb, it would have been a good idea to check the amount of slack on the standard tensioner before removing it. Is it a ratchet type on them?

Everything was put back together and fired up fine, ran upto temp in the garage, have to wait till i wake today to listen to check is the chain is to tight or too loose out side tho
clipped everything back back therget thing there was around 30 plugs to reconnect + hoses
one plug was pissing me off spent over a wombles hour trying to work out where it went
This was the one >
ah well got there in the end, it suddenly clicked i had plumbed the pair back in but not plugged the pissing sensor in
least its all clean and shiny mind
