I just wanted to update you folks on some recent updates I have made to my beloved Storm. I recently had my VTR off to my dealer's to have some (almost) new heads worked on (ported, milled 0.15") and installed, along with Yoshi Stage 1 cams (thanks eBay!). I had the cam timing altered slightly (lobe center on intake advanced 2 degrees to move the power down a bit in the rev range). With the work done (had new cam chains installed too, as well as the CCT's checked) and over 100K kms on the bike, it dynoed 111 hp and 70 ft-lb (with two long intake runners and a dairty air filter). In essence, I have kept the bottom end while also gaining a definite pull above 5K rpm. The exhaust sound through the Microns also has more bite and throttle response is crisper. This set-up works well with the lightened flywheel

On the chassis side of thiongs, I had my RaceTech modded rear shock rebuilt and had the valving fine-tuned for my weight. I also replaced the stock spring with a progressive Hyperpro unit and the end result is absolutely fantastic!!!!
I have a couple of minor things left to try (airbox-wise) before putting her into hibernation but so far all is well.
cheers
