Is it worth the extra £40 pound to fit a K+N. I will have Aftermarket cans on (no dynajet as yet)
Whats the general concensus?
To K+N or not to K+N that is the question

All air filters do different things to your power delivery and torque. The K+Ns i have used in the past give more power but lose you some torque along the way. The same ws true on both Gixxers and my SP1, as well as the Storm. BMC are a little more expensive but i think that they work a little better across the rev range without changing the character of the bike too much. The real difference that you can make is a dynojet kit, it will bring it all together and make everythinga whole lot better.
Thanks mate, the BMC version is cheaper than a K+N so will have a look.mellis wrote:All air filters do different things to your power delivery and torque. Mellis,
I'm surprised you found the K&N LOSE midrange
My experience is completely the opposite

Brilliant, thanks mate I think I will plump for BMC £58 from CALSPORT and possibly Blue flame EVOs still not sure (sold my Scorpions too loud and no option of fitting baffles)Stormin Ben wrote:Mellis,

I tell you what, the difference without the Scorpions is shocking, lost LOTS of grunt everywhere apart from V low down 1-2.5K, but hey thats to be expected.

which works out at £61.27 inc post
all you got to hope that the taxman doesnt charge vat on top,if you know someone in the states you could get it sent a lot cheaper
