ART exhaust

Post by 03suprchikn »

I have noticed that alot of people talk about Art exhaust and how nice it is. I personally haven't seen it maybe cause I live in the states. Is it the price? Quality? Sound? Would you guys that have it compare its sound to Two brothers? I have seen alot of VTR's with Art exhaust on the net, but I think most of them are in Europe. Thanks ahead for the replies.

Hi and welcome,

I think you have hit the nail on the head - price, quality and sound make Art leader of the pack for me! (Mind you if it werent for the price then it would have been a bit of a scrape between Devil and Art in my book)

Cheers

Now, now Wayne we all the know the main reason for so many VTR's being fitted with ART cans might just be down to me (lets face it where did yours come from)!!!

The thing is 03superchicken, I happen to be good friends with the owners of ART and get a further 25% off the price of all their products.
This makes them too good to be true prices and a result is that many people buy them ( I hate to think how many people I have helped to date).

I have sent out about five sets to the states but it is a little hassle if I was totally honest so I try to keep this down when I am busy.
Parts Unlimited are now a retailer in the states for ART goods but I'm not too sure if they stock the high level exhausts.

What would you guys compare the sound to? Are they baffled or fiber packed? Alot of people tell me that a fiber packed exhaust needs to be repacked quite often on v-twin, because of the v-twin pulse.

They are fibre packed mate with an inner core of steel wool on the packing to prolong life.
They still need doing every few years though depending on milage.

I'm sure they will sound very similar to two brothers, but it's a few years since I have heard TB cans now.

Daz - Prices

Post by t00lkit »

Daz

this weeks MCN has a Busters advert in, they are currently selling pairs of oval s/steel Art cans for the Storm for 198 quid. Not bad.

Can you get them cheaper than this, the last price list I saw was about 240.

I'm in the market for a pair, and may as well buy new for this price, rather than second hand.

Let me know whay your mates at Art say.
Cheers
