Not the 4 shiney hinged luggage brackets, the 2 flat steel hooked brackets on base of seat that are supposed to slide under the 2 loops on the subframe.
We looked at them at Squires - they don't actually connect anywhere.
Perhaps as said for extra stability if pillion pulls on strap?
Does anyone know of any pillion who uses these?

great seat modification
Just done this,removed both hooks, seat now goes on easy and comes off a whole lot easier too,hooks are useless and can only imagine they are there for the helmet stap/lock thing you get in the tool kit,had some debate about what the long bit of looped wire with the black plastic sleeve was in my tool kit apparently you loop inthrough your helmet and attach it to these silly hooks under your seat?
