Seemed like a good idea at the time...

Post by Norton500 »

A sorry tale. I bought a set of front and rear (second hand) Goodridge hoses off ebay some time ago, intending to fit them this year.

Found out that instead of stainless fittings, they had anodised fittings which had come into contact with brake fluid. This had eaten away (etched?) the fittings, so they were scrap. Back onto the internet to source some Goodridge fittings.

I'm having trouble finding the correct ones as the fittings I've got, have a 'projection' (below the thread) like a small tube that projects into the brake lines around 8mm.

Anyone know:

a). What I'm talking about

b). Where I can find a picture of these and buy them

c). Frighten me and give me an idea of how much it's going to cost (I need 2 x 45 degrees and 3 x 30 dgrees - so 5 in total)

Serves me right for being a tightwad, I know...
It's all a big joke until you have somebody's eye out...

I don't know if you saw this kit or not or if it's what you are after :!:
