CCT mounting bolts torque

Post by ips »

Can any one help?
What is the CCT mounting bolts torque setting?
The Haynes manual quotes 23Nm, I have just sheared one of the bolts off whilst tightening to this setting.

Now I’m confused!
Just found an online manual that also quote 23Nm but it states the bolts are 8mm, the ones I have are 6mm. I’m guessing the torque should be 10-12NM?
Any help who be appreciated.

But I tend to 'feel' those bolts into place as otherwise you can do just what you did and shear them! 10nm would be OK though.
