I got some pilot sports following the advise here:

117 squid delivered. Cost me £20 to get fitted. just scrubbed in and very happy :D

Usually run racetec 2nd hand race tyres but wanted some new (for that price!!!). the grip seems fine.

rensports are/were on offer at M&P recently!

best tyres are the bridgestones i think (tried almost all types now).

If you commute or are not a particularly fast rider go for 021's

If you ride fast, and like sticky stuff go for 014's

I used to run Bridgestones (BT014`s) but they are a bit £££££ so i switched to conti road attacks and find them great, they still wear on the rears fairly quick (V twin torque syndrome) but there pretty good tyres.
I aint no James Toseland but i like to get a lick on and they have never given me cause for concern.
The sport attacks are supposed to be even grippier, but they wear a bit faster.
And i only Paid £153 for the pair. Bargain :D

Ive found the 021's just as good as the 014's, I can easily go just as fast on them, and I dont hang about.
Agree totally, cant wait for some good weather as I am impressed with the 021's in the cold
