Where does your username / nickname come from?

Post by Firemonkey »

I'm sure there must have been another thread at some point about this but after a 'quick look' I couldn't find one so I thought I'd start one.

Fire - the bike...obviously
Monkey - because I have unfeasibly long arms for my height 5'7" and look like a gibbon. Maybe Firegibbon would have been better

Stormmonkey looked too weird with the two 'm's in the middle.

On other forums I am RRmonkey, SP2monkey, SVmonkey and just Monkey.

I like a nice cup of Earl Grey. Plus most of my life seems to consist of Storms in teacups
I was born with nothing and I still have most of it left.

Embarasingly nerdy reasons.

In my youth I used to Play a lot of MUD's, it was the vogue to have a latinesque name..mine was Draconis Nobilis..sort of stuck and got shortened to Drac in the Alpha/beta testing i do and always keep it at retail.

I would very much like your guitar. :D :D :D

In the dark old days when t'internet was new fangled - I couldn't find a suitable e-mail address. You know the thing... sorry that address is not available.

So, as I used to use ADF as my hip hop type nickname in school.... added a SKI to it just to make sure it was as cheesy as possible. :D Never had a problem getting a username with that!
