Hey all, my battery finally gave up the ghost last week - where can I get another one at a reasonable price? 8)

I bought a Yuasa battery last year for mine & it is superb, cost about £60 at local dealers. My bike was tucked up in the garage over winter & I only started it every 6 weeks or so, but it fired on the button every time. Just checked M&P and they want £120 for one without acid pack or delivery, which is scandalous !!! Best shop around I'd say!!

Plus if your battery has died, check out your rectifier... I'm running a Yamaha FZR 600 one now.

Check guide HERE

I bought a pattern battery from Wemoto in 2006 and it's still working fine. Price has gone up though, in October 2006 they were £19.50 and today they cost £35.25!

I bought a patten one (Sprint) for about £35 and it lasted only 12 months even with a charge on the Optimate before installing. Bit the bullet and went to my Honda dealer and got a genuine Yuasa for only £50 it's only been on a few months so can't tell you what it's like but before I put the pattern one on it replaces the original battery from new which was a Yuasa and had been on for 3 years.

Did 14k on the Firestorm in 3 years and 10k on the SP1 in 2 years and haven't bought a battery yet. So I gues the original Honda fitted batteries are fine.

My FS still has its original battery fitted, That makes it 11 years old!!! Still seems OK, but is on Optimate III when not out and about and the bike uses an R6 rectifier now.
