Post by chuxsta »

hi all,
just bought these off ebay..
the guy seems to very little about them. was unsure if they are high level,, but looking at the pics the link pipes look standard.
he also claims the rest of the exhaust system is off a storm.. but looking at my down pipes the back section looks nothing like these.
not that it matters as i dont want that part just the links and cans.
im just thinking of the selling on of the rest of the system.

yeah i gathered about the high level,,, not to fussed for now,, just want shot of the standard cans,,

can lookinto getting some high lev link pipes later on..

but the rest of the system looks fook all like mine.. well the link pipe connection area and the front section of the system do its the rest..
thats looks iffy..
like what looks like a mounting bracket in the middle, and the back pipe coming up stops short it should carry on round and up a bit more..

like i said im not bothered to much about it im just curious.

Thems be SP1/SP2 pipes methinks.

Have a look here

You can tell by the straight section on the front link pipe and the way that the pipes join at the collector. Also the mounting tags on the can link pipes that pick up on the footrest mounting bracket.

If they were sold as being off a 'Storm then I think that you have been had....

thanks so much ... i have not sent the dude any money yet.. but this would explain why he let it go for a stupid ass price then...
the whole thing for £150... the cans are around £300 brand new..
no idea what the rest of the system costs second hand...

but i owe you one... hail the .org helpful peeps..

Result :) Stick the cans and pipes on separately on ebay. You should come out quids in!

If they are SP1 pipes then they will fit on SP1 or SP2s. If they are SP2 pipes, then they will fit SP2 only. From the look of the pictures, I think that they are SP1 pipes.....

From memory they look like mine, the only bit missing is the square bend that goes into the rear cylinder, it slides into the top of the open end sticking up.
