tank protectors

Post by gazbut »

hi all
i've noticed the the paint on my sides of my tank has started to wear.
i've got the normal spine protector but nothing on the sides.
i'd like to replace the old one and also get something for sides but don't want it to look naff!
seen some moulded carbon fibre protectors but not for the 19ltr tank.
any ideas?
cheers

I must admit that since I've been wearing my leathers more I've noticed this too, but I'm not a fan of carbon for carbons sake. So I'm looking at that clear film stuff along the lines of armourfend route http://www.armourfend.com/ although they don't list it the people that do fit the stuff can cut out shapes all you need to do is supply a template :)

In the best Blue Peter style all you need is some sticky backed plastic and cut to what ever shape you want.

Clear fill don't think it’s the same guy as I got mine of but should work ok and for less than a tenner

A tip for getting it in the right spot is to peel of the backing and dunk it in soapy water then it will float in to place on the film of water
Then squeegee the water from under it starting at the middle and working out to the edges

Works for decals to
