Swingarm Modifications

Post by Ballaughfia »

Hi People.

Has anyone tried to put a 2002/3 Blade swingarm on a Storm? :?
Seen the usual VFR mod but thought would try something different.

Any suggestions welcome

Cheers
Andy

Thought about the suspension but forgot all about the exhaust pipe!
Also it extends the wheelbase by 30mm

Most of what I know shows that faffing around getting a different arm to fit is a ball ache.

Best is to get a brace fitted to the stock one.

Harris, Spondon, Holeshot - any of the race companies should be able to do a proper job on it and occasionally braced and polished VTR swingers crop up on ebay.

If you know a good welder could even get it done for the price of a packet of fags too.

there was a beauty on ebay a month or so ago. nice bit of bracing and painted black.

Think it was done by harris.

But TBH I reckon moly will do you a pretty good job and no postage or messing around. Got a mate who also builds sidecars who could help you with that too. Not as much of a superstar so prob not as expensive! :D

Gis a shout if you want me to contact him for you?

see you around fella!
