Mike, how do you reckon it would compare with the Blade? Apart from the obvious engine differences they both use top end Showa kit and push out similar BHP so what do you think? Am I just going to have to blag a ride to see for myself.

Which blade? Anything after an RR4 will eat it.

Be very suprised if it was much quicker off the line, I ride with my mate on his Gixer thou and have ridden his a few times (that must be the bike to draw comparisons if anything) the Blade is comparable up to 100 then the Gixer pulls on and on and on where as the blade loses that real pull, will run on to 170mph (ind) though, lost my nerve and prob my licence if i continued. On the road the blade is a great mix of high class road suspension I reckon the SP may be a bit hard? I love the SP that is why I am asking, could be my next and last fast road bike

1. Blade 178KG std and 136-139 BHP std (mine has Micron full race system so no idea on weight saving and power)
2. SP1 ?

Thats what I thought, the Blade is a quick light bike (21Kg lighter as std!)just has no soul. I do lurve the SP but slowly the Blade is sinking its easy to ride thrash the nuts off me claws deep into my phsyce. Its so forgiving even I am beginning to think I am Rossi 8O Time to buy a Harley?

True enough, I was always able to make ground on the Storm against inline4s for a short distance but against the RSV I stood no chance. All irrelevent really as I am not into riding against someone off the track, as a youngster it was fun but with kids and wife too much to lose.
I will blag a ride at Taz or similar to see the difference.

you make it sound like a bell end with a discharge, Beamish

not knocking the blades at all, they must be good or they wouldn't sell so many, obviously. I just prefer twins

So do I 8) Just need to get the remains on IL4s out of my system. No Vtwins that can do what the Blade does for £1600 at the mo (SPs fetching much more cash). Once I get some money together I will prob go for V twin again.

Try picking up a reasonable TL for £1600, damn near impossible.
