MOT Fail

Post by Dazjm »

Well, put the machine in for its MOT.

4 Fails..

Front and Rear brake test indicates excessive fluctuation of brake effort.

Nearside handlebar handgrip not secure to handlebars

Horn is not continuous or uniform!

I think my discs have been warped since i got it. So not totally surprised, if that fail indicates that.

Ordered some cheapish Kazigume discs from eblag, and got some EBC pads coming too, tried to get the Bendix, but had none in stock.

Also bought a second hand horn, hoping the fact mine is pretty rusty, is the reason it sounds a bit ill. Although i gotta be honest, i thought it sounded ok. :?

Retest in less than 10 days hopefully!

Doesn't sound like a whole lot of work and the brakes; well I'd want 'em working correctly anyway test or no test so good luck with the retest!

Ah well, new discs/pads and horn later, and it passed the retest!
Within the 10 days too.

Got some Kazgizume Wavy discs from ebay, front and back for about £180. all ok so far.
