Is this a gearbox problem?

Nipped into town last night and noticed something wrong with the storm.

When coasting at low speed when the engine is not under load a mechanical knock/crunch sound suddendly comes from the engine and the bike jolts slightly, only for a split second.

Any sugestions?

Mines done it occasionally, and my chain does have a tight spot, and is at max adjustment

im just trying to get to the end of the summer with it

Oil and adjustment more or less eliminates it

Id try that first .
