Fanless,go for it or forget it
Managed to fit fireplace usd"s,spot on its a piece of p**s,still thinking about the single rad up front,so tried it without the fan fitted to the back.My theory is if i ride ruthlessly through traffic jams should be no probs. The fan seems to kick in at about half way on the gauge, and soon goes off once on the move, was thinking if it is front mounted it should get a good blast of air, also there is no bodywork shielding the engine.Any thoughts or the like on this?

Sorry for not seeing this thread earlier but not been here for a while, Chris asked me to pop in and give my views...
I have been running a single rad at the front for a year or so now without any fan. It is perfectly effective so long as you are on the move no matter what time of year.
HOWEVER the temp does rise quite quick in the summer if you are stationary or moving really slow.
I have had no problems so far but don't live in a city with lots of traffic jams. I have been meaning to mess with my set-up for ages but never find the time to do anything.
I modified the left side radiator and blanked off some of the unions and added a filler spout, will have a custom rad made one day when I get round to it. I did have an early CBR600 rad fitted for a while but it bottomed out during a stoppie and self destructed.
Hope this helps.
