what's happened Timbo, is that one of the two originators of the squires meet can't now make it on sunday & is asking if it can be brought forward to saturday. at the moment, what little response there's been has been neutral/negative. I've posted that we need to know by wednesday at the latest or original date stands to avoid messing peeps around at the last minute

Pete, shirley is a mackem/geordie play on 'surely' - and I've adopted it cos when used in certain contexts some peeps sense they're being insulted (wrongly so of course but all the funnier for it)

yep and as desperate as I am to put some miles on the clock of the new bike, it doesn't extend to sliding down the road on it

so, I can take cold - but not cold & wet. anyway, there's always the following week or whenever if its iffy
