Travelling in Switzerland

Post by andyh »

Does anyone know if you need a Vignette for travelling by bike over in Switzerland :?: I know you need one for a car.
Spotted one on fleabay and wondered if you can interchange them for different vehicles, cheers.

You need one for traveling on swiss motorways only, not required for normal roads there. No vehicle ID on them so you can swap them between bikes and cars.

Wasn't that a Velocette model?

What is a vignette?
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

It's a permit to allow you to drive on their motorways. About £23 a year.

I think plenty of folk use the motorways without them, it's just your luck if you happen to get caught. Massive fine apparently.
