hi all
after much thinking i decided it would be more cost effective to have a shot at doing the forks myself. i have read some guides etc but still have a few questions.
i have ordered K tech linear springs matched to my weight, now on one site it says to cut the spacer to a set dim but this is info from roger using race tech springs. so do i alter my spacer to get the same overall length or just slap them in as is.
also on the site roger says to use 7.5wt oil if retaining the std valves which i am , 5wt oil came with the fork springs so should i buy some 7.5wt.
i plan to grind the rebound taper as mentioned there .
it also states an air gap of 140mm iirc again if my spring lg is different would i still use this setting ???
also i plan on dropping the forks through when i reassemble them , i have a 3mm shock spacer. whats the max i should drop them through without really messing up the handling
thanks for any advice in advance
regards mark
