SV 1000
Re: SV 1000
Yes
Re: SV 1000
OK I ASKED FOR THAT LOL How does it compare to a storm
Re: SV 1000
Yes loads of them!
If I could find a classic at the right price I wouldn't have the storm for much longer - says it all We took one in at the weekend and was tempted but them I sold it to a customer to take temptation away
I loved my old SV's and wish I hadn't gotten rid had the naked and S models

Re: SV 1000
original tl better imo
Re: SV 1000
Loved my naked SV too but
still part exchanged it for my second storm
on my forth storm now
Had a TLR but I think the storm is a better ride
at the end of the day its a little bit of what you fancy that does you good

On the basis that it doesn't break every five minutes.........andy c wrote: Had a TLR but I think the storm is a better ride

Re: SV 1000
Have you considered the TL1000 also, thats supose to be quite good another twin.
Re: SV 1000
Essentially, yes Mellis. If not detuned slightly.mellis wrote: Id the engine in the SV the same as mine then?
I like SV1000's. Lot of bike for the money. The TL motor revs more freely/quickly than the storm too.
SP1's rock!
Re: SV 1000
I thought as much. The SV that i rode was nowhere near as rapid as this beast!Jbrebel wrote:Essentially, yes Mellis. If not detuned slightly.
Re: SV 1000
the sv is indeed a detuned tl motor, they lopped 20-25 bhp off and rectified a few tl niggles( rear shock and water pump impellor seal)...so basically an sv1000 is very sim to a storm powerwise.....oddly an sv650 is a better ride
Re: SV 1000
I changed from a Storm to a faired SV a few years ago. IMHO it does most things better than the Storm (especially fuel consumtion!) and is pretty easy to get on with. Its a little less comfortable, has a much better gearchange, sounder handling, 21st century clocks etc. Basically what Honda should have done to the Storm.
Mine is up for sale at fastrack, Leicester (see web) because it is too powerful for French regulations (see my other posts). I may haggle on the price :-)
