Suede seat re-colour

Hi there, I've recently bought an SP2 Castrol. It's not perfect and I need to so some tidying.

Firstly, it's got a grey suede seat. I want to colour it black.

Do you think I could dye it? If so, how?

Why not offer a swap for a standard one?
I'm sure someone likes the idea of a grey seat.

I was considering a velcro one meself. Looking a some of the avatars, that's gotta be an idea worth trying.
