Been on fleabay and found a small mod that i have been thinking of doing for a while so thought i would give it a go. Think this is gonna be a marmite one. Think the sidelight is crap so decided to go down the Audi route and ended up with this.
I know this will not be to everyones taste but i kinda like it and it only cost me about £4.50. Also when i ordered the light strip i got 2 so got a spare one if anyone fancys doing one on there storm drop me a pm.

made a similar mod to my old gsxr1100, except i ran the led's round the complete perimiter of the headlight lense. thought it looked pretty cool. It was certainly more noticble than the standard sidelight

pretty obvious what's brighter and more visible looking at the 2nd pic.
not being rude, but i think i prefer the underneath lighting rather than on top - looks classy.
so what's the deal with the strips then, are they flexible / self adhesive?
how do they connect up - just being lazy asking tbh, seen them on ebay but didnt really pay much attention, but they do look good fitted.
i planned on fitting a halogen bulb in my day lamp instead of the poxy 5w effort.

I cable tied mine to the black plastic shroud....

It's an easy job, as long as you're happy to split the headlight...
You can then remove the black plastic shroud behind the lens. I tried to glue a flexible led strip to it, but had to make some small holes and cable tie it...
All I did then was put a tiny hole at the back of the headlight, take the wires out there to the sidelights unit - just watch the polarity, they'll only work one way round (but won't blow up the other way

)
I'm gonna tidy it up with some proper plugs, and I have SMD (super bright) LEDs to experiment with on a spare shroud.....

I have some SMS led's fitted my self, one in the side light a realy bright white one, and two blue ones inside the dash under the taco and fuel guage.
Might get round to doing the strip at somepoint.

I had a go at this:
Here's a few photos:
Before:

Light Case:

Internal shroud removed from case and LEDs fixed (super glue and zip ties)

Ready to reassemble:

Back in bike:

Lights - Camera etc etc...
It took about 2 hours and I got the 24cm LED here:
http://www.suntekstore.co.uk/24cm-flexi ... white.html
for a couple of quid - took about 10 days to arrive as they come from Hong Kong...
Good luck - Best wishes. Next - Acumen DGV!!
