:? Hi all, was wondering if anyone knows which bulb kit i need for my storm? Ive been into halfords and they dont have a clue, the bloke i asked didnt even know they did bulb kits for bikes!! 8O ive checked in my manual but cant find anything. please help. :D

Hi Fran,
I'm not sure you can get a specific kit for the Firestorm, but a spare headlight bulb could be worth carrying with you (although not very easy to replace in the dark) and perhaps a spare indicator bulb too. The bulb you require for the headlight is a 12V H4 60/55W and the indicator bulb is a 12V 21W single filament type bulb, bayonet fitting (which means it has a small locating pin on each side of the bulb base that holds it in the holder, very similar to a light bulb in your home)

Those bulb details I've given are for a bike with standard headlamp and indicators.

:D thanx guys, halfords do actually have bulb kits for bikes but no info on them. The info from you guys has helped alot, thanx again. :D :D

dont forgot the rear bulbs are capless twin filament bulb not exactly universally available
1998 Firestorm, 47,000 miles, forks valved & sprung, proflex shock +4mm over standard, manual ccts', k&n, 50#slow 185#/190# mains, front carb slide mod, R6 throttle tube, Tank raised, Viper cans, Coerce fork brace, EBC lite front discs & pads.
