WP shock on e-bay
WP shock on e-bay
Spotted this on e-bay, if it goes for less than £100, it could be a good upgrade.

It is the same model of shock I use, but mine has ride height adjutment, so you will still need shock spacer with this one. It only has rebound damping adjustment, but there are 12 clicks and it has a real effect.
The one for sale looks a bit tatty, but they are fully servicable, about £60, and the spring can be powder coated for next to nothing.
Main thing to check is that the spring rate is correct for your weight, as a new spring costs about £80...............That is the mistake I made when I got mine 2nd hand, but at least I now have a shock that is custom set up for me!!!!
Also I should add that you want to spend the £200 to have your forks done before you spend money on the rear, as the front is the biggest weakness.
Roger at revolution racing will give you an idea of what spring rate you need for your weight, and the original one should have a number written on it. I think the one i bought was a 165 spring and that was far too hard. I ended up with a 140 for 13st weight.
PS I have no connection with the seller.
