Quick Action Throttle

Post by tony.mon »

I'm after a quick action throttle, but not just the ordinary 1/6 turn sort.

I believe that on the KTM RC8 there's a clever cam one that has the normal amount of action over the first part of the action, but then increases diameter over the last two thirds so that you can snap to fully open without having to twist your wrist too far, or take two bites at it.

So I'm looking for one that also has the ignition kill on, as well as the starter button, although a separate starter (like on race bikes) wouldn't be difficult to fit.

Preferably a Honda one, but not too fussed.

Any thoughts?

(or has anyone got a QA one they want to sell?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Stock is 1/4 turn I believe. I tried the RC45 tube (slightly shorter throw) and am now running an HRC 1/6 turn racing throttle (just the tube, still using stock housing) and love it (those not keen on delicate throttle control be forewarned however!). The only thing is that its larger diameter takes you right to the very end of available play in your adjustment. You can find some on Fleabay if you care to go that route.
