Congratulations :)

My local MOT place is great...

Turns a blind eye to certain things :P

As long as the bike is safe he will pass it....

I could be talking boll**ks here Tim, but with all our MOT's now on a database, surely any test centre should be able to supply a new certificate if you supply the relevant details etc for a fee smaller than a re-test. After all you're only after a duplicate certificate.

Chris, quite probably, but i dont know where it was tested and neither does dealer as it was done before he took it as a trade in.
Tim, before the mot system went all computerized that would apply, you would need to know the exact testing station to get a duplicate certificate I agree, but now with it all being on a central database it shouldn't make any difference IMHO which testing centre you get one from, providing you've got your bikes details with you.

I've just had a look on google and found this:-

Hi Tim,

GOOD NEWS for you.
I just had a similar problem myself. I bought the bike two months ago and found that the certificate stated it had Advisories, but the advisory copy was missing.

The garage I got it from couldn't print it out again without charging me, wait for it... £3. Yep, £3 only.

So, as you have a certificate, contact VOSA and get the certificate number and then get it reprinted.

Hope that helps
Simon
