Hello peeps!!!!

Post by Leachy »

Hi, Lets start with:- my name is dave, from bury near manchester, been biking for 10 yrs or so had a few bikes, cb125t-2,500-4 custom lowrider,cbr400,cbr600f and gpz600r. Bought this VTR back in jan '09 after payout from writing off the 600f in 2006 (not good :mad2 ,bloody stupid woman) which has turned out to be ace!!!. The VTR is ace, what a buzz!! just put some 021 bridgestones on and what a laugh, does everything i ask, a few minor issues but i'm sure it will be quite easy to sort, already blown a reg/rec,sounds a bit cammy,no idea of service history, cluncky/doggy 2nd gear, which is why i've signed up here, chat and banter with other VTR owners hopefully gain some advise about looking after such a good bike.
Absolutely Sodding Bloody typical!!!

Welcome aboard Dave
I find changing up into 2nd gear asap is best on our Storms. Things that can make the change worse are too slack a drive chain and worn cush drive rubbers,

Chris.
