Ok, so i'm thinking about sticking 2 firestorm engines together to make a v 4?.

There are some cracking projects and bikes on here, so i thought why not (i'm sure that last statement will come back to haunt me, and anyone who reminds me of this will get a poke in the eye).

I know it's going to be too bulky to make a sports bike so was thinking maybe v max style.

Feel free to torque (clever ehh?) me out of it, and also looking for any sick motors going cheap)

So this is my-toe-in-the-water-post, let me know what youre all thinking. Laters. :confused

Sounds fun........ in a masochistic kind of way!

Side by side or fore and aft?
Or are you planning to graft them onto a common crank?

Road or dragstrip?

Bagsy first ride once it's finished- I'll be as gentle with it as I am my own bike

PTP,
If you have the skills, tools, funds etc and enthusiasm to build a V4 using two Firestorm engines then I say go for it, it'll certain be very special

Go for it. Take loads of pictures too!

There's a loon over on the Performance Bikes forum who is making a V-twin 1000cc 2-stroke using 2 x CR500 barrels mounted on home made crankcases milled from solid 8O 8O 8O Twin cranks meshing on a monkey gear, electric starter (can you imagine trying to kick it over???)

Its awesome, isnt it? There's some clever blokes over there....have a look out for Suspenionsmith...he has just built a cosser out of a '0 ZX-10R 8O 8O 8O . Another bloke has built a funny front end out of a cagiva single sided swingarm and a Maxton shock.

@Passtheprozac....apologies for the thread drift. Please keep us posted on the project....it sounds awesome

It looks like you have to be a member Steve to look at things like you suggested on the PB forum. Like you say there are some clever people about.

I couldn't imagine what a ZX-10R crosser must be like, it must be mental.
