Ok following on from my last post "switchgearswap" how do I tell if my 2005 VTR is an import ?

Ring Honda and give them the reg or VIN number. They will tell you over the phone.

if you look at the vin plate on the frame at the headstock it might tell you where the bike came from, i think there is a country code on it, or it gives you it as part of the vin number.

Re your lights - why wouldn't you want them on all the time? I always have ridden on dipped to be seen.
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

If battery's a bit low I would want to leave the lights off when I try to start it.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Thanks for your help guys. It looks like a UK model. Victor Devine in Glasgow says its not an import.
