Fork protectors

I've seen these on other bikes, like little bar ends which fit onto the bottom of the fork legs to protect them when sliding down the tarmac.

What I'm thinking about is when I dropped mine recently the frame slider (DHM mushrooms) folded up a bit and didn't keep much off the deck, so I'm considering fitting some sacrificial bits which will hopefully prevent the fairing touching down next time.

If I was to fit these and some swingarm paddock stand points, and some of those little can protectors, and a pair of case protectors I should be able to throw it into the hedge and get back on with nary a scratch, (if I also fit hinged folding levers).

So how do these attach?

Seems to me that I need to drill through the front wheel spindle and nut, then a small aluminium shaft with two internal M6 threads could slip inside, meaning that I could fit modified bar end mushrooms, screwed into the internal aluminium spindle. Would lighten the spindle, too.

Unless anyone knows where I could just buy these already made? I'm sure it's been done before....paddock stand bobbins might be ok, but I'm really seeking protection rather than being able to lift the front end up.

I wouldn't bother
Knowing my luck I'd fall off the bike, it would then hit the kirb and jump into the air, flipping over three times, it'd come down landing on its clocks and tank and there'd be notheing wrong with the mushrooms. Just everything else .....Stop ...wait a minute!....that's already happened , Phew!
Wouldn't want to go through that again
