Is that an "after piccy"...?

I'm just looking at Fireblade swingarms on fleaBay - but gotta be cheap, lol.... (seeing as I'm gonna chop the brace off)

Then "it's polishing time!"

Was thinking about this myself, but I've had an idea.

Seems to me (based on very scientific measuring from the cover of a Haynes manual) that a swingarm from a Varadero would fit a Storm, as the pivots are the same, but Varadero's are about 10% longer.

This might be a good idea for my annual August drag strip weekend at the Bulldog Bash, along with a longer chain and a slightly warmed-up engine I have on the go at the moment.

Obviously, the standard one goes back on for the rest of the year, 'cause it'll make the handling well lazy.

Anyone got one they could measure, centre point of the pivot the the end of the swing-arm, not including the chain adjuster?

Then, as you say, a bit of bracing and we're away.

Standard hijack apology
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Nothing wrong with hijacks - I'm on the RedMonkey ZX7R site - if a thread goes 2 posts without a hijack then there's something wrong....

I know it's not 'Storm related - but the guys aren't up themselves and it's a real hoot!

If you do - say Hi to Bannon - he is an SP1 owner, fast and a sheep shagger!

Looks good! Have you tried releasing the clamps and pulling the cans off the link pipes slightly? Doesnt look like you need to gain much to clear the badges.
Red (the fastest colour) 98 Storm, APE CCT's ART Titanium high level cans, Airblade smoked double bubble screen and the shopping list is still growing!

To be honest the clamps dont get in the way as much as i thought and for the clamps thats exactly what i did, i did get some farting from the engine while riding at a steady speed so i've tightened the clamps up even more as someone said something about air getting in or getting out (can't remember exactly what he said), tightened them yesterday so i'll see how it goes!!

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
