2 into 1 exhaust ?
Does anybody know where i can acquire a 2 into 1 exhaust system for my storm, i saw one on Ebay many moons ago on a knackered out old storm for sale but missed the opportunity to enquire where the guy got his exhaust from, i haven't seen one since & now i have a need for one. I wish to raise the back end more than the exhaust will allow so a single side unit would be perfect ?
Re: 2 into 1 exhaust ?
It's got one as standard!
All you need to do is blank off one side, I used the sawn-off end of a deodorant can clamped on with a jubilee clip, if you have a full bellypan it can't be seen.
Beware the extra bit if protruding pipe in the join where the RH pipe meets the collector, you'll need to grind this out properly in order to flow enough gasses out of just one end can. If you take off the RH can you can see into the join; you'll see where it's not opened up fully.
But if you're fitting something free-flowing the standard downpipe/collector should be fine.
Otherwise, plenty of people on here can recommend exhaust fabricators, there's a few about depending on where you are.
If you find anyone doing a full Ti system for less than £250, let me know......

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

But if you blank off one side does it affect the engine performance ?
Re: 2 into 1 exhaust ?
A year later and you're still thinking about it?
Anyway, yes, it takes a tiny bit off top speed, but it's not really noticeable- TBH when I did this I didn't notice until riding back-to-back when I put it back to twin pipes, then it just seemed a tad better.
But torque with the single can was improved slightly, more bottom end.
I ran it as a single-pipe for a month or so while the damaged can was rebuilt.
Obviously it weighs a bit less, though, so maybe swings and roundabaouts.
The only way to know for sure is for a dyno test before and after. My own seat-of-the-pants opinion is all I have to go by.
