Can any one confirm that the RRW/RRX CBR Yokes (Top and Bottom) Fit on on the storm?
is so are they a direct fit, or do they require some reworking?
also long shot this but does any one know how much shorter the 929 forks are than the Storm's?
Thanks guy's,
Stripped the bike today, what a mess, need a subframe plus the hangers and other stuff, also need forks a wheel, bars, clutch master, headlight fairing stay + mirrors and screen and loads of other shite and plastics
while ive got this 250 on the road going to strip it to bits, powder coat the frame black, stick some blade forks and upgrade anything else I can.

Re: Clamps
Seb have a look on the Superhawk website there's plenty of info on this conversion.
http://www.superhawkforum.com/forums/sh ... hp?t=19475
this link is to someone who has used RC51 forks like me. Not sure what the difference in length is between these and the CBR's are, i'm sure the conversion has been done with both. Just be aware of the ground clearance if you lower the front.
I'm very happy with the SP1 setup on my bike, it responds quicker an just feels more positive, only one thing I would change and thats to change the 954 clip-ons as the clearance on the fairing isn't good. May get some made to spec.
Good luck what ever you decide.
Cheers Phil.

Re: Clamps
Thanks Phill,
Just spent the last few hours reading a lot.
Just wondering, will i need a new key and barrol if i use 954 clamps, or does the storm on fit/work etc? can you still use steering lock
Im gona go down the route of RR3 Clamps and Forks

Re: Clamps
You can use the firestorm lockset, just bolts straight on, as long as you do the mods to allow for full travel left to right you should be able to use the steering lock as well. Its worth spending time getting the small things right as it will make the finished project so much better.

Re: Clamps
Sorry to pick your brains again, mate
having trouble trying to find a front wheel
am i right in thinking that the RRY to RR3 (929-954) used the same front wheel and disk's, and that the firestorm calipers can be used with blade disk's?
obviously i would like blade items but money is tight, so will have to get other stuff as and when
also i see your only in bury up the road, any chance of a hand when i got the bits? (i make a good brew

Re: Clamps
I'm pretty sure the 929-954's use the same disc and caliper set-up with 320mm dia disc (the storm disc is 295mm dia), I got discs from a later model CBR1000 which also has 320mm discs, the standard storm calipers just move out slightly.
I could call round and show you the set-up on my bike, should give you an idea whats involved, if your stuck with anything, I'll try and help you out.
I'll PM my phone number.
Cheers Phil.
