Welcome aboard Darknomad
A right bummer about the diesel, I bet you were right pi$$ed off about that. Glad too hear you found another panel, I hope it's a good one,

That's not so good, perhaps you can repair this panel better than it is now, seeing as it's not fitted to the bike yet. You can use a soldering iron to plastic weld the cracks together just by getting them hot, doing that from the inside of the panel. Just make sure you don't hold the iron in one place to long so you end up going through the face of the panel. You need to get each side of the crack heated up enough to join them together. Just keep moving the soldering iron from one side to the other of the crack (at the back of the panel)until both sides are tacky enough to allow them to stick to each other, you sort of need to work them together (not easy to explain) You can also use an old plastic coat hanger as a plastic filler if you wish to infill the joint.

I can't really see much advantage in getting the later version personally, but that's your choice. If you really want a slightly bigger tank then may it'll be worth it.

I will be listing a Right hand side Fairing, either 'Teal' or Purple/Gold/yellow (dont ask previous owner of this fairing was a nutter by the looks)

would you be interested? both right side fairings and infill's are in excellent conditions no cracks or scratches etc

Well it does Say SP1 and SP2

did you just assume it would fit or did they tell you?

fingers crossed you can get a refund on it mate, my side panel is no longer going to be for sale because some bell end has broken my spare fairings in the shed

was gonna ask how mutch to get it with a spray in yellow and replacement sticker :D
been out all evening on my lil girl and it pissed down 5 mins from the house
i still rode on though and the leathers do indeed seem water proof
swapping the brake lever was a mare its only held on by the biggest damn bolt on the bike yeah the same one thats holds on the butt of the bike lol
finding a pair of sockets that fit was plain lucky
then wasted an hour trying to figure out how to get the soft inner exhaust seal gasket whatsit
out the old exhaust and into the new one that stuff is soft
and yes i didnt know the engine casing bits was completely different
i know now..
so all in all for a total naive spanner user im doing alright fingers crossed
