Need to pick some brains
This is on my Viffer but it has the same hydraulic clutch layout as the storm
I’ve checked the hydraulic over and there’s no sign of a leak
The bite point on the clutch is all over the place some times it’s close in to the bar with the clutch being fully disengaged just a few millimetres after and sometimes the lever is almost fully out before the clutch is fully disengaged. Also when sat at the lights with the clutch in the clutch can start to drag
Now I’m thinking it’s got a warped plate in the clutch I.E different amounts of heat in the plates altering the amount of warp hence the bite point moving about
Just wanting to run it past a few heads before I go opening the engine up and see what you think or if anyone has another idea that may need checking
clutch bite point moving
clutch bite point moving
its big----- its red ------its throbbing and it’s a thousand CC
Re: clutch bite point moving
Had it out and cleaned it mike first thing I thought of
O and the plates seem to be moving ok looking through the filler had the leaver pinned to the bar over night and the clutch didnt sink back
should have put that in the first post

i'd agree with that tbh - looks like it has to come out.warby221 wrote: Now I’m thinking it’s got a warped plate in the clutch I.E different amounts of heat in the plates altering the amount of warp hence the bite point moving about
just a thought, what's the engine oil level like & is it shitty?
my cbx used to drag a bit when it got hot - i didnt realise how quick the fker consumed the black stuff!
proper oil in, level set right (preferred it a bit high tbh) new set of plates from silvers & all was good. still is!
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Any graunchy noises when launching hard?
(Proper 3K drop clutch dragstrip launch, I mean).
If so maybe big bearing behind clutch?

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
