hi,
ive just brought a firestorm, and need to know what the best suspension settings are for track days and fast road riding.any help would be greatly appreciated!
suspension set up
Have a look at:
http://webpages.charter.net/gnemish/index.html
has a good set-up guide.
My advice would be to use the same set-up for road and track then you're used to it. Making other changes will just take longer to get used to things, yes there could be improvements but you have to adapt your riding to make the most of them. Until you go to a track and punch out consistently low lap times more can be gained from improving riding skills.

Re: suspension set up
First up go back to somewere like Nov-Jan were this topic was talked about at length. I set my storm up to those reconmendations.deano wrote:hi,

Remembering that we all ride different and weigh in different you could try this.
From std settings (you dont say if your bike is new or not, if not check out the hand book for the factory settings)
Frount preload have 2 rings showing
Frount rebound 1 & 1/4 turn out (H)
Rear preload 2 (from soft)
Rear rebound 1 &1/4 out (H)
This is how I have mine set up and its not to bad remember that the sus is different depending on weather its a series 1 or 2
Mine is a F3 (03 series2)
cheers Darryl
