Kust test rode the VTR, i got it to the bike shop and it cut out on me mid bend.
I held the bike up but i dont know why it cut out, my CCT's are both very noisey and i susspect they are both in need of replacing.
Looks like i should of bought the MCCT one of the members on here made and sold.
Could everything be linked? the break down, the failing to start and cutting out?
Also how do i check for bent valves without taking the head off etc? Compression check and such?
New problem (sorry)
Re: New problem (sorry)
Bloody hell, you're cursed, you are!
Whatever you did in a previous life I hope I don't do it
Re checking for bent valves, yes, you can pop off the rocker covers and check the valve clearances, if the valves aren't seating properly due to a bent valve than the clearances will have opened up, well beyond the normal valve clearance values anyway.
And undo the cap screws on both CCT's and see if there's any tension from the spring in one direction, that'll let you know if one of the CCT's have failed, it'll only be one or the other, as they can't both fail at the same time.
So it's manuals or the stopper mod you'll need.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Got manauls from the pont, anyway, they both back off so they both need changing, they both twist when revved up so thats a double no no.
Fitting them as soon as i get my instant gasket later.
