Honda (and other) Part Diagrams on the Web

Post by billbofagends »

I've found a really useful site for proper Honda parts diagrams: http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/makes. It gives actual Honda part numbers that you can take to the likes of David Silvers and wemoto.

It is unfortunately in the US but in general the bike components are the same as the UK except for carb/fueling set up (especially for those crazy Californians).

I've been using it for the last few days to work out whether I can put the higher compression pistons from a CD185 Benly in my CD200. :P And, yes I can... I blame tony.mon's rebuild thread for my ideas, though they may not be quite on the same scale... yet... Has anyone ever fitted Nos to a benly?

no reason why not- you can buy those little sets for 'peds on EBay; I reckon you'd need about twenty of them rigged to squirt at the same time into the Storm airbox.

And a dustpan and brush to clear up the big ends and mains after they shot through the bottom of the engine

re parts swapping- I had an old CB125s that had a hi comp from a 500/4 kit that I managed to get the dealer to split.
Anything's possible, if you throw enough money at it.....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
