Ear plugs!!

Post by geodude »

Inspired by benny's nagging, I mean sound advice, I am now a convert to wearing earplugs. <<< "sound" see what I did there? lol

Do you wear them and if so, which do you use.

ps. benny, did you get the SAE?

For those that don't wear them, either you don't go fast enough or you're daft.

Thanks Mike. I remember reading that too!! Doh!

they yellow ones in the packets are great but they hurt my ears after 5-6hrs... the flubes are softer and expand quicker as well.
see what you think...

Yes, I wear ear plugs and would definitely recommend wearing some. Hearing damage from noise is for the rest of your life, it's non reversible :!:

I've tried many different types but, for me the orange ones (Max) made by Howard Leight suit me the best:-

I don't wear ear plugs as I travel faster than the speed of sound.

If the soft foamy stuff reduces the noise level I reckon the soft foamy stuff I have between my ears does the job ok.

It's the gigs that's done my hearing in. DJing and bands, over the years.

Anyway, if I had decent hearing I'd be worrying about every little knock and rattle.
Can't hear it, so no problem.

Only smoke, bits dropping off and dead engines to worry about.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I have to say having never worn ear plugs ever I recently tried them and can't believe how much it has enhanced the riding experience, far less tiring and far more enjoyable.

I now wont go out without them

Currently experimenting to find the most comfy :D
